Formerly a garage within a Provençal bastide, this space has been completely transformed into a private guest annexe — a small, self-contained retreat within the main house.

The aim was to turn the former garage into a fully independent, functional and comfortable space, while preserving its character. Generous bespoke storage keeps the living area uncluttered, while the bed was positioned in front of the window to make the most of the natural light and surrounding landscape.

A bespoke kitchen was created in a separate room, with light, fluted oak cabinetry. In the living space, a rich bronze wall draws the eye and creates a dialogue with the original French ceiling, bringing warmth and a quietly Provençal character to the room.

A shower room was also created from scratch, with a deliberately pared-back feel. Light-toned concrete tiles and chalk-coloured walls create a calm, understated atmosphere.

Every element was considered to balance functionality, simplicity and warmth. The result is an intimate, welcoming studio — a place to slow down, settle in and feel immediately at home.
